Lt Governor Manoj Sinha reconstitutes Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, nominates 8 new members

As many as eight new members have been added to the newly reconstituted Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board by Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Jammu and Kashmir Government has reconstituted Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and has added eight new members to the board. The decision was announced through a notification sent by the office of Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha on March 15.

“In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 5(1)(b), Section 7 and Section 10 of the Jammu and Kashmir Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Act, 1988, I, Manoj Sinha, Chairman, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) and Lt Governor of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) hereby re-constitute the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) and nominate the following persons as its Members, for a period of three years with immediate effect”, read a statement issued by the governor’s office.

The eight new members added to the board are, Mahamandleshwar Swami Vishveshvaranand Giriji Maharaj, Neelam Sareen, Ashok Bhan, Baleshwar Rai, KK Sharma, Suresh Kumar Sharma, Raghu K Mehta and Kul Bushan Ahuja.
