Paa (2009)

Amitabh Bachchan portrayed the character of a young child who was diagnosed with progeria, a genetic disorder. People who suffer from progeroid syndromes age more quickly, which makes them seem to be older than they really are by appearance alone.

In the R. Balki film, Bachchan was almost unrecognisable due to the prosthetics and makeup that enabled him to play a child.

Thugs of Hindostan (2018)

Amitabh Bachchan’s portrayal of Khudabaksh in ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ showcased his commitment to character immersion. From the rugged attire to the imposing demeanour, he amazingly added a layer of authenticity to the character.

Gulabo Sitabo (2020)

Among Amitabh Bachchan’s most distinctive onscreen personas, his quirky look from ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ is still memorable. Shoojit Sircar’s film stars Amitabh Bachchan as a possessive Lucknow man who clings desperately to his family’s haveli. He transformed himself into Mirza’s character wearing high-powered spectacles and a lengthy beard. To create his persona, a lot of prosthetics had to go into it.

These dramatic transformations and styles highlight Amitabh Bachchan’s remarkable versatility as an actor.
