Kalicharan Maharaj, who was trapped in the case of making objectionable remarks on Mahatma Gandhi, reached Indore on Tuesday evening after being released from the jail of Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. Workers from Akola, Pune, Dewas districts had come to pick up Kalicharan Maharaj at Indore airport. In which activists of Bajrang Sena and Hindu Mahasabha organization were involved.
Other Hindu organizations including the Hindu Mahasabha welcomed him from place to place from the airport to Rajwada. Kalicharan had commented on Gandhiji in the Dharma Sabha held in Raipur. After which, on December 30 last year, Chhattisgarh Police arrested him from Bageshwar Dham, 25 km from Khajuraho in MP.

A case was registered against them under section 505 (2) and section 294 in Raipur.
