Jharkhand: Ranchi Sant Xavier’s College students’ bus crashes in Sikkim, airlift attempt fails

A bus carrying 22 students from Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, crashed in Gangtok. The students were going on tour and were on their way to Siliguri. All the students are said to be injured. At the same time, after getting information about this incident, efforts are being made to airlift the students but due to bad weather, success is not being achieved. The number of injured students is not yet known.

CM Soren spoke to the Chief Minister of Sikkim
After getting information about this incident, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren has spoken to the Chief Minister of Sikkim and asked him to make arrangements for proper treatment. After this, he tweeted and wrote that it has just been learned that a bus carrying the children of St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi to Gangtok on an educational excursion met with an accident near Rani Pul, near Gangtok. I have spoken to the Chief Minister of Sikkim. Arrangements are being made for proper treatment of the children. I have instructed the RC to be ready to air lift the children as well. At present, due to local bad weather, we are not able to air lift the children, so arrangements have been made for proper treatment there.
