Amidst the rumblings of change of government in Himachal, the officer lobby has also come into active mode. Officers close to Chief Minister Jairam Thakur have started going to Holy Lodge, the private residence of former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and Congress State President Pratibha Singh, to mark attendance. The officers are trying to get closer to the Congress by citing their relationship with late Virbhadra Singh.

This issue of officers going to the Holy Lodge to mark their attendance has become a matter of discussion in the state secretariat. Officers and employees are calling it a matter of setting up with the new government in a subdued tone. 2 officers who marked their attendance at Holy Lodge have held the post of former Chief Secretary in the Jairam government and the other officer is considering himself number one in the race for the post of Chief Secretary.

Officers already holding creamy positions
In Jairam government also, both these officers have been on creamy post and now amidst the sound of new government, the officers are again busy in making their settings. This is because in the coming time there are many such big posts in the state government, which are going to be vacant.

In this, the chair of the Chief Secretary is going to be vacant on December 31. Chief Secretary RD Dhiman is retiring this month. Officer lobby has come into active mode to get this post. Meanwhile, even if there is a change of power, the officials have started marking attendance at Holy Lodge without taking any risk.

Movement of officers is also indicating change of power
Such movement of officers in Himachal is also indicating the change of power. Although someone is winning the BJP in the exit polls and someone is in favor of the Congress, but the officers are feeling that the departure of the BJP is certain. That’s why the officers have started setting up keeping in view the delicacy of the occasion.

2 officers of Himachal ready to go on deputation
Before the formation of the new government, two officers of Himachal Pradesh are ready to go on deputation. This includes the names of Subhashish Panda, Principal Secretary to a Chief Minister and Rajneesh, Principal Secretary, Education. The state government has given him permission to go to Delhi, but the joining letter Zindagi has just been received from the Centre. Meanwhile, the matter of two other officers going to the Holy Lodge to mark their attendance has fueled the discussion of change of power.

Change of DGP is also fixed
The change of DGP in Himachal is also almost certain, because Sanjay Kundu has applied to go on center deputation since September. In such a situation, Kundu can say bye to Himachal as soon as he gets a call from Delhi.

Even if there is no call from Delhi, if the government changes in the state, then the change of DGP is still considered as fixed. If BJP repeats, the government can continue Sanjay Kundu for some time.

Himachal is already facing bureaucratic shortage
After RD Dhiman, many other officers are also going to retire in the next 3 to 3 months. This will further deepen the crisis of bureaucrats in the state, as only 117 out of 153-IAS cadres are working in the state. 12 IAS officers are serving on central deputation.

Himachal exit poll: Congress more than 33 seats; BJP is also not far behind in the neck to neck fight.

This time there is a close fight in the Himachal Pradesh assembly elections. BJP gave the slogan of ‘Mission Repeat’. Voters have also shown interest towards this slogan. However, the voters of the state are also showing a tendency towards the tradition of changing the government after 5 years. According to the exit poll of Dainik Bhaskar, Congress can get 30 to 38 seats in Himachal. Click here to read the full news…
