Heatwave likely in 7 states
According to the Meteorological Department, maximum temperatures will be above normal during the three months of summer in Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, East Uttar Pradesh and eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh. Heatwave days will be longer than normal.

In the summer season, heatwave days usually occur for 6-10 days in different states of the country. In the north-west states of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh, the temperature will be normal or below normal and the heatwave will also be short. Temperatures will be above normal in some parts of Punjab and Haryana.

Chance of rain in rest of the region except Northeast

On the other hand, except in the areas of Northeast and East India and East Coast, more rain is expected in April.

Chances of El-Nino between July and September
Now La-Nina is over and El-Nino condition is not there. In general, El Nino is not good for the monsoon.
