The Goa Police team probing the murder of Haryana BJP leader Sonali Phogat will visit Haryana today. This team will reach Delhi by late evening. Goa Police officers will first search Sonali’s flat in Gurugram in Haryana. This flat is in the number 4 tower of Sector-102 of Gurugram. The flat number is 902. After the completion of the search of the flat, the officers of Goa Police will reach Hisar by Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawat has said that two confidential reports have been shared by the Goa government with the Haryana government in the Sonali case. One of these reports has been sent by Goa CM Pramod Sawat himself to Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal, while the other report has been sent by DGP of Goa Police to Haryana DGP. Till now, the investigation of Sonali Phogat murder case was being done by a PI level officer of Goa Police.
Goa CM said that now the investigation of this case will be under the supervision of DSP level officer. The Chief Minister of Goa claimed that the investigation of the case is going in the right direction. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawat did not give any direct answer to the question related to the recommendation of the Haryana government to hand over the case to the CBI. He only said that the investigation of Goa Police is going well.
Goa DGP Jaspal Singh told that a 4-member team of Goa Police has gone to Haryana. The team will collect evidence in the case. In the report that we have sent to the Haryana government, we have sent our progress report till now. The investigation of Goa Police is going in the right direction. What is the motive of the murder of the accused, that is why the evidence is being collected. Anything can be said after gathering the evidence.
Why is it necessary to search for a flat in Gurugram?
According to the information received, before going to Goa, Sonali Phogat and Sudhir Sangwan had gone to the flat in Gurugram. Sonali was accompanied by his gunman. Both did shopping there and sent the gunman back to Hisar. After this both Sudhir-Sonali left for Goa. For this reason, the investigation of the Gurugram flat is definitely necessary, what happened there after all? Why did both of them go there? Just went shopping or was there something else?
So far 5 arrested in murder case
The police of Anjuna police station of Goa is investigating the massacre that took place in Goa’s Curlies restaurant on August 23. A case of murder has been registered against Sudhir-Sukhwinder, against both of them and the other 3 under NDPS Act. The five have been arrested by the police. The names of the five are – Sonali Phogat’s PA Sudhir Sangwan, her partner Sukhwinder, room boy Datta Prasad Gaonkar, Curleys Club owner Edwin and Rama Mandrekar.
Sudhir and Sukhwinder hatch a conspiracy and kill Sonali. Datta Prasad provided drugs to Sudhir for 12 thousand rupees. For this work, Sudhir had paid Rs 5000 and Rs 7000 to Dutta twice. Edwin did not oppose the use of drugs in his restaurant. Rama Mandrekar is a drug smuggler, from whom Datta Prasad took drugs and gave them to Sudhir.
Was on Goa tour from 22 to 25 August
Sonali Phogat was on a tour of Goa from 22 to 25 August. Sonali, along with Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder had come to Goa by flight on 22 August.
Drugs were hidden in the ladies toilet
According to Goa DGP Jaspal Singh, Sudhir and Sukhwinder have confessed that they drugged Sonali forcibly on the night of 22 August. He was given methamphetamine chemical by mixing it in water. The trio had snorted MDMA in their hotel room and Sudhir took the remaining substance in the water bottle to Curley’s Club. Sudhir took the remaining medicine in a bottle of water and took it to the club. He drank the same substance on the dance floor. The CCTV also shows Sonali giving the same drug to Sudhir.
Sonali’s health deteriorated at around 2.30 pm due to drug overdose, both of them took her to the washroom. There Sonali vomited. After sometime she came back and started dancing. Went to the toilet again around 4.30 pm, but she herself could not walk, nor could she stand. When Sudhir-Sukhwinder took her away, she slept in the toilet itself. They both sat there. In the morning, both took Sonali to the parking area first. From there brought Grand Leoni to the resort, from where he was taken to the hospital. At the same time, the bottle of drugs was hidden in the ladies toilet.

According to this report, Sonali was drugged and killed by her PA Sudhir Sangwan and his accomplice Sukhwinder. Sudhir had bought the drugs and mixed it with water and fed Sonali with a bottle.
According to Goa Police, during the interrogation of Sudhir Sangwan, it has been found that the drug given to Sonali is Methamphetamine ie MD.
