Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has released its digital blue print by sharing an animated video of 4 minutes 5 seconds. PM Narendra Modi had announced the Maa Kamakhya Corridor during the election campaign in the North-East.

There is a temple of Maa Kamakhya Devi on Nilanchal mountain in Guwahati. It is included in the 51 Shaktipeeths. She is also called Kameshwari or the goddess of desire. It is the center of the Tantric Shaktism cult.

Apart from the temple of Maa Kamakhya Devi, there are many temples on Nilanchal mountain. There are also temples of Matangi, Kamala, Tripura Sundari, Kali, Tara, Bhuvaneshwari, Bagalamukhi, Chinnamasta, Bhairavi, Dhumavati goddesses and Dashamahavidya (ten incarnations of the deity). The five temples of Lord Shiva around the Nilanchal hill are the Kameshwar, Siddheshwar, Kedareshwar, Amartokeshwar, Aghora and Kautilinga temples. By combining all these, Maa Kamakhya Corridor will be formed.

Nilanchal mountain made up of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva hill
Nilanchal is made up of three parts i.e. Brahma Hill, Vishnu Hill and Shiv Hill. Here Bhuvaneshwari temple is at the highest height. The Brahmaputra river flows in the northern part of the hill. Nilanchal hill has some other temples like Banadurga Temple, Jaya Durga Temple, Lalita Kanta Temple, Smarankali Temple, Gadadhar Temple, Ghantakarna Temple, Trinath Temple, Shankheshwari Temple, Temple of Dwarpal Ganesh. Hanuman Temple, Pandunath Temple are situated in Barha hill.
