Minister of Uttar Pradesh Minorities Welfare Department Danish Azad and Haj Committee Chairman Mohsin Raza greeted the pilgrims by giving them roses at the Haj House in Lucknow.

A batch of 14,000 pilgrims left for Haj on Sunday morning from the Haj House in Lucknow. They were sent to Zaireen Airport by bus from Haj House. 298 passengers were flagged off by the first flight at 12 noon. Today itself, everyone will be sent to Madina by 45 flights. The pilgrims include 11 thousand 500 passengers leaving from Lucknow and 2500 passengers leaving from Varanasi.

Let us inform that a total of 2600 Haj pilgrims from Purvanchal had to go from Varanasi airport. But the flight got cancelled. In such a situation, these pilgrims will be sent from Lucknow. The remaining 100 Hajis will be sent under different schedules.

The buses from Haj House to the airport were flagged off by Uttar Pradesh Minorities Welfare Department Minister Danish Azad. Haj Committee Chairman Mohsin Raza and Union Minister of State Kaushal Kishore were also present.

45 flights will fly from Lucknow to Madina
A total of 25000 Haj pilgrims have to go for Haj from Lucknow. Today, 45 flights carrying 14,000 Haj pilgrims will leave from Lucknow airport. On Sunday, the first flight carrying 298 Haj pilgrims left for Madinah. The remaining 11,000 Haj pilgrims will be sent by 4 to 5 flights daily for a week. The state government has provided all necessary facilities for those going on Haj pilgrimage.

So many Haj pilgrims for the first time after Corona
This is the first time after Corona in Uttar Pradesh that such a large number of Haj pilgrims are going to Madina. Three different destinations have been made for Haj pilgrims. Along with Lucknow, Ghaziabad and Varanasi have also been made destinations. However, due to flight diversion from Varanasi, Haj pilgrims from Purvanchal had to come to Lucknow. From here they are going on Haj pilgrimage.

There was a situation of confusion for a whole week regarding the Haj pilgrimage from Varanasi Embarkation. The passengers were to fly between May 21 and June 6, but this could not happen. In fact, the Haj pilgrims of Varanasi were supposed to fly by GoFirst flights, but all the flights of the airline were cancelled. Due to frequent cancellation of Go First flights, now Haj pilgrims from 16 districts of Purvanchal going from Varanasi Embarkation will be sent from Lucknow.

Schedule of more than 2600 Haj pilgrims of Purvanchal disturbed
Due to cancellation of flight from Varanasi, it was decided to send Haj pilgrims by Saudi Airlines aircraft. It was also decided that the Haj pilgrimage would start from June 8. Due to this, the schedule of more than 2600 Haj pilgrims of Varanasi and Purvanchal got spoiled. Out of these 2600, 2500 Haj pilgrims will be sent from Lucknow today i.e. on Sunday. The remaining 100 Haj pilgrims will be shifted to different dates.

Haj servants were also sent on behalf of the government.
Minister Danish Azad Ansari said that all facilities are being provided by the government for Haj pilgrims going from Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, 60 Haj servants have also been sent by the state government to ensure that the Haj pilgrims do not face any problem there.

  • Millions of Muslims from all over the world reach Saudi Arabia every year for Haj. The Kaaba in the city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia is considered the holiest site in Islam. This ancient religious ritual of Islam is very important for the Muslims of the world.
