Emraan Hashmi said that he is the best kisser at the trailer launch of his upcoming series Showtime.

After the success of Tiger 3, Emraan Hashmi is back with another grey character – a producer in the upcoming web series Showtime. Karan Johar is all set to reveal what goes on behind the scenes in Bollywood. Karan joined the film’s cast for the trailer launch today and asked Emraan some rapid-fire questions.

Karan asked Emraan what was the one rumour he would like to stop about himself. To this, Emraan replied, “That I’m a good kisser.” He added, “I’m not a good kisser, I’m the best.” This left Karan in splits. They were also joined by Mouni Roy and Shriya Saran on the stage.

After a long wait, the makers have finally unveiled the show’s trailer. The trailer of the web series showcases an angry Emraan Hashmi trying to save face against an outsider newcomer, played by Mahima Makwana. Meanwhile, Rajeev Khandelwal, who plays a superstar in the show, makes him realise that the power in the industry lies in the hands of the ‘star’.

Mouni Roy plays Emraan’s wife and the trailer shows her in a sexy avatar. Naseerudin Shah plays the head honcho of a film studio. Shriya Saran also stars in a pivotal role.

“Being in the industry for so long, I have seen both the good and bad side of it, so when this show came to me, I grabbed the opportunity of being a part of it and could resonate with it on various levels. We have always seen the audience longing to know more about what goes on behind the closed doors of Bollywood and let me just say – we have heard you all! Get ready to dive deep into the tales of Bollywood,” Emraan had shared earlier.

Created by Sumit Roy and Mihir Desai and directed by Mihir Desai and Archit Kumar, Showtime will delve into the unseen world that lies behind the camera. It will give audiences a sneak peek into what goes behind the multi-million dollar industry of Bollywood, nepotism and the power struggles at the top.

The multi-starrer web series Showtime is slated to stream from March 8.
