MPs from 12 opposition parties protested in front of the Gandhi statue in the Parliament complex on Wednesday over the China border dispute. The MPs demanded that the Tawang clash case should be discussed in detail in the Parliament. Sonia Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge were also present.

Sonia Gandhi said that encroachment on the border by China is a matter of serious concern. The public and the Parliament are unable to find out the status of the LAC, but the government is adamant and does not want to discuss it.

PM Modi has lunch with Congress President

On Tuesday, on the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar arranged lunch for the MPs in the Parliament premises. During this, Congress leaders were also seen having food along with BJP leaders. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge had lunch with PM Modi. PM posted its picture from his Twitter handle.

However, before the lunch, Congress President Kharge was cornered by the BJP over the dog statement. The BJP demanded an apology from Kharge. Kharge said that what I said was said outside the house.

MP Piyush Goyal said that Leader of the Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge made an indecent speech. He used foul language, made baseless statements and tried to present lies to the nation.
