Delhi Records 1.4 Degrees, Lowest This season, As Fresh Cold Wave Hits

The weather office said minimum temperatures are likely to fall further

People in Delhi and its adjoining areas woke up to a chilly morning with the minimum temperature in the national capital dropping to 1.4 degree Celsius – the lowest so far this season.

Cold wave conditions and foggy weather prevailed over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and parts of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan as well.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for intense cold wave conditions and fog in parts of north India for the next three days.

Northern Railway officials said at least 13 trains were running late due to fog.

The weather office said minimum temperatures are likely to fall further by about 2 degrees Celsius over several parts of northwest and central India over the next few days.
