The police arrested Gudda Gurjar, a notorious prize dacoit of Chambal, in a short encounter. In the encounter, 100 bullets were fired from both the sides. The encounter took place on Wednesday night at 8 pm in the forest, 40 km from Gwalior. Dacoit Gurjar has been shot in the leg. Still kept on firing. His 3 companions fled.
According to ADG D. Srinivas Verma, a 315 bore gun has been found from the dacoit Gudda Gurjar. Gudda Gurjar has 3 murder, 5 attempt to murder cases registered. 28 to 30 dacoity cases are also registered. Dacoit Gudda had come into the limelight about 15 days ago, when he threatened people to flee after vacating Chanchola village. After this, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had said – The image of the state is getting tarnished because of dacoit Gudda Gujjar. Eliminate it immediately. Since then the police was searching for him. Gudda Gurjar had a reward of 60 thousand rupees.

We found the location of movement of dacoit Gudda Gurjar in Ghatigaon-Bhanwarpura, about 50 km from Gwalior. I reached Basota forest near Ghatigaon with 14 selected officers of my team. It was evening. It was getting dark and then we came face to face with Gudda Gurjar’s gang. The team immediately laid siege to the dacoits by taking their location. By the time we could understand something, there was firing on the police team from the dacoits.
We are in alert position. After this there was retaliatory firing from our side. For two and a half hours, the encounter with the dacoit Gudda and his henchmen continued. About 100 bullets were fired from both the sides. Meanwhile, a bullet hit the dacoit Gudda’s leg. After that his companions ran away. When the police searched, the doll was found limping. He was arrested.

Gudda had come to kill some Rajendra
CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan had given instructions to eliminate the dacoit Gudda, then the Gudda was lost in the forest itself. For two days, the police was getting information about his movement in the border of Bhanwarpura-Ghatigaon bordering Morena border. The police also came to know that Gudda had come to Basota to kill some Rajendra Gurjar. He had an enmity with Rajendra during the Panchayat elections. This was the right opportunity for the police.
Due to SSP Amit Sanghi being on leave, ADG D. Srinivas handed over the command of the entire operation to ASP Crime Rajesh Dandautia. ASP Crime Rajesh laid siege with a team of selected 14 jawans and officers including DSP Crime Rishikesh Meena, DSP Ratnesh Tomar, police station in-charge Crime Branch Damodar Gupta. Apart from this, teams of Bhanwarpura, Ghatigaon, Tigra, Mohana police stations were engaged in separate siege. The dacoit was caught by the crime branch team.
Gudda was not giving up till the end
ASP Crime Rajesh Dandoutia told that he surrounded the dacoit and asked him to surrender, but the bullet was fired from his side. In response to this, the police fired 60 rounds, then about 35 to 40 rounds were fired from the dacoit Gudda. Till the end the dacoit was not ready to give up.
Silent doll, did not say anything
The police team reached Gwalior’s JAH (Jaya Arogya Hospital) with the injured Gudda in the short encounter. After treatment here, when the dacoit was being shifted to the trauma center room, Dainik Bhaskar’s team asked him what is the truth of the police encounter? Dacoit Gudda Gurjar did not say anything. Dacoit Gudda’s terror was for 23 years
The terror of 23 years of dacoit Gudda Gurjar in the forest of Gwalior-Chambal zone has come to an end. He used to get away every time. If Gwalior had committed the incident, he would have reached Morena and if he had carried out the incident in Morena, he would have taken refuge in the border of Gwalior.
The police had arrested Gudda Gurjar’s niece Preeti Gurjar a day earlier. Police say that Preeti was going to give food grains, food items and cartridges to her uncle Gudda Gurjar. He was caught during the night. She was alone. He had a bag, in which cartridges were also found. After this, the police arrested Gudda Gurjar’s elder brother Pappu Gurjar, nephew Yashvir and brother-in-law’s brother-in-law.
Pappu Gurjar and his brother-in-law Shri Krishna Gurjar in the custody of Pahargarh police station of Morena. Pappu Gurjar is the elder brother of dacoit Gudda. Shri Krishna Gurjar is Pappu’s brother-in-law. Pappu’s sons and daughters lived with Shri Krishna.
