In the Jaipur Literature Festival, a stage named Mughal Tent has been set up, where many issues are being discussed.
The Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) has come under controversy this time because of the Mughal tent. The BJP alleges that it is wrong to name the tents after the Mughals who attacked the country’s culture. BJP State President Satish Poonia said – It would have been better if the Mughal tent would have been named after Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. Deputy Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore said – Maharana Pratap’s name could also have been written instead of Mughal.

JLF organizer Sanjoy Roy said on the controversy – This name is running from Diggi Palace. After this some people will say that the name of the Durbar Hall should also be changed. This festival is being organized for 16 years. The Mughal tent was named so because of its architectural design. The design of that tent remains the same. This festival will continue as it is, there will be no change in it.

Today was the third day of Jaipur Literature Festival. Gulzar sahab appeared in his own style. He talked about Lata Mangeshkar, the nightingale, on Yatindra Mishra’s book ‘Lata Surgatha’.

I had written the song ‘Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchan Hai’ for Lataji. I wrote this for his autograph giving style. So that whenever they give autographs, they write that my voice is my identity. Today this song has become his autograph. There are many singers in our industry, there was no one like Lata ji, no one will be there. He had an identity other than his voice.

Whenever she used to come on the set, she used to spend a lot of money. She used to bring gifts for the whole unit, spoil the unit.
The most beautiful gift used to come for Manmohanji, our cameraman, because he had worked with him and had sung two songs together. I have also received gifts as a director. I have been very fond of Gautam Buddha’s collection, she came to know from somewhere, so she brought two or three brushes stones of Buddha for me.

Then the matter came on the mischief of words. They said- Once I wrote a song ‘Aapse Khoobsurat Aapki Badmashi Ke Andaz Hain’. Music director Pancham da objected to the word miscreants. He said that Didi will not like this word. You change it.
I explained to him that it is not a vulgar word. It is our colloquial word. They did not agree, I told them that I will give the option. You just tell or tell this to Lata ji.
Pancham da was repeatedly looking at me when Lataji came for the recordings. Then Didi asked what happened, is there any problem? Pancham Da didn’t say anything. Then I said – they are upset because there is a word badmashiyan in the song. You will not like it, it will have to be removed. Then Lata ji said – this word is new in the lines of this song. I can’t find such new words to sing.
In the era of OTT, Gulzar saheb lodged an objection regarding the name of Bollywood which is continuously failing. He said – I have objection to the name of Bollywood, this name is not good. Looks borrowed, looks covered.
