Actually, there was a meeting of BJP’s National Executive on 16-17 January. In this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said – We have to take the policies of the government to the Bohras, Pasmandas and educated people of the Muslim community. We have to connect with all parts of the society and connect them with us.

About 6 months before this, in the BJP National Executive meeting held in Hyderabad on July 3, 2022, PM Modi had announced Sneh Yatra for Pasmanda Muslims. The purpose of this yatra was to reach every house of Pasmanda Muslims and take initiative to connect them with BJP.

Now know BJP’s focus on Bohra and Pasmanda Muslims
How BJP wants to cultivate Pasmanda Muslims with the help of small parties, this thing can be understood from the result of Bihar assembly elections. In 2010, the NDA government led by Nitish Kumar was formed in Bihar with more than two-thirds majority. Nitish Kumar’s election slogans of good governance and strengthening law and order by eliminating the mafia were one of the many reasons that led to his victory.

Not only this, Nitish Kumar had simplified caste equations in a very brilliant way, due to which Pasmanda Muslims voted for NDA instead of RJD and LJP.

If sources are to be believed, in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the allies of NDA will implement their master plan through other small allies like AIADMK, Apna Dal, Nishad Party, JJP, Rashtriya LJP, BPF, AGP, IPFT etc. to connect Pasmanda Muslim community. . That is, in elections, these parties will give tickets to the leaders of Pasmanda community on their election symbol in Muslim majority seats. Even if this party does not win the election, but it will play an important role in dividing the Muslim votes and weakening the opposition parties.

After independence, 400 Muslims became MPs, out of which only 60 were from Pasmanda.
After the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, questions started to arise regarding the participation of Pasmanda Muslims in Indian politics. According to a report, from 1947 to the 14th Lok Sabha, a total of 7,500 MPs were elected, out of which 400 were Muslims. Surprisingly, out of these 340 MPs belonged to Ashraf i.e. upper Muslim caste and only 60 Muslim MPs have been from Pasmanda community.

190 Lok Sabha seats in 5 states, this is the most ‘Pasmanda’
Ali Anwar Ansari, the founder of All India Pasmanda Muslim Mahaj, says that although there are Pasmandas everywhere in 18 states of the country where there is a Muslim population, but in 5 states UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Bengal and Assam, their number is more. . Out of these 5 states, 3 states currently have the government of BJP and its allies, while in 2 states TMC and JMM and Congress have government in the other.

According to the 2011 census, talking about the Muslim population in these 5 states, UP has 19.26%, Bihar has 16.87%, Bengal has 27.01%, Jharkhand has 14.53% and Assam has 34.22% Muslims.

Most of these numbers are of Pasmanda Muslims. These states have more than 190 Lok Sabha seats. That’s why BJP is engaged in cultivating Pasmanda here keeping 2024 in mind. Apart from this, there is a significant number of Pasmanda Muslims in the states of South India like Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Sachar committee also suggested to include Dalit Pasmanda in SC
According to the Sachar Committee report, in 1936, when the matter was taken up with the British, an Imperial order recognized Sikh, Buddhist, Muslim and Christian Dalits as Dalits, but denied them the benefits that Hindu Dalits enjoyed. In 1950, the same arrangement remained in the constitution of independent India.

Although Sikh Dalits were included in Dalits in 1956 and Neo-Buddhists in 1990, Muslim Dalit castes could find a place in the OBC list only after the recommendations of the Mandal Commission were implemented. That’s why the report of the commission suggested to include Dalit Pasmanda Muslims in SC.
