PANAJI: Chief election commissioner (CEC) Sushil Chandra arrived in Goa on Monday on a two-day visit to review the poll preparedness for the upcoming assembly elections. He was received by by chief electoral officer Kunal.
Chandra was accompanied by election commissioners Rajiv Kumar and Anup Chandra Pandey.
On Tuesday, the CEC will hold a meeting with representatives of political parties, the chief electoral officer (CEO), police nodal officers, enforcement departments, election icons, district election officers and superintendents of police. The CEC will also launch new initiatives.
On Wednesday, he will meet the chief secretary, director general of police (DGP) and home secretary.
