The Chandigarh District Court can sentence a former Major of the Indian Army to a maximum of 6 months in a ‘hit and run’ case. Sector 36 police station has registered a case against him for hitting and injuring a girl who was feeding stray dogs. He was arrested on Monday and granted bail by the police.
