Chahat Khanna Breaks Silence On Alleged Links With Conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar

Amidst the interrogations of Bollywood actresses Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi in connection with the Rs 200 crore extortion case, names of two television actresses — Chahatt Khanna and Nikki Tamboli — came into light after reports of them meeting conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar at Tihar Jail emerged. Chahatt has now opened up about the reports and called it a ‘twisted’ portrayal of reality.

In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Chahatt said she prefers to laugh off all the claims and she will speak up when the right time comes.

“I have seen all the reports about my involvement. Actually, there is a lot that I want to say, but then I feel why should I have to clarify myself. It makes no sense right now (as the case is still on). It is not the time when I should or I need to clarify myself. I will definitely talk, not to defend myself, but to reveal what actually happened. Right now, what the media knows is just half of the whole story. When I say anything about the matter, the whole Chinese whisper game will begin. That’s why I want to stay quiet. But when the time comes, if I feel the need to tell the real story, I will definitely,” she told Hindustan Times.

She also added that she is not bothered by what conclusions people draw. “If people draw conclusions without hearing my side of story, I can’t get bothered by it. They don’t know the reality. They can say or believe anything they want. They have all the right to do so. Right now, my family and I are just laughing reading all the reports ke kya hai aur kya nikal ke aa raha,” she added.

When asked if she plans to hire a lawyer, she said people who think they have done something wrong hire a lawyer. “The stuff that is emerging out is really twisted. Ek sentence ko pakad ke highlight kiya hai. It makes no sense for me to be hassled about it right now,” Chahatt was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

Chahatt has worked in television shows like Bade Achhe Lagte Hain and Qubool Hai.

Last week, Jacqueline and Nora were questioned by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police for eight and five hours respectively.
