A few months back when his cameras broke down, he called a technician from the company and a young man named Rashid accessed the CCTV cameras installed on his mobile on the pretext of fixing them.

The couple alleged that the engineer had made over 100 intimate videos and was extorting them by blackmailing them.

He allegedly extorted some money from the couple initially.

Police officials said the engineer started blackmailing the couple last month and demanded Rs 3 lakh as the first installment. Police said that initially the couple gave some money, but when their demand started increasing, they complained to the cyber cell, after which the accused was arrested.
