Sameer Wankhede, former zonal director of NCB, going for questioning at the CBI office on 20 May.
Former Zonal Chief of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Sameer Wankhede is being questioned for the second consecutive day in the CBI office. Wankhede is alleged to have demanded Rs 25 crore in exchange for the release of actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan, who was caught in the drugs-on-cruise case. Earlier on Saturday also, CBI had questioned Wankhede for about 5 hours.
Sameer did not reach for questioning on May 18
Earlier, CBI had called Sameer for questioning on May 18, but he did not turn up. He had filed a writ petition in the Delhi High Court against the summons of CBI, but he did not get much relief from there. The Delhi High Court advised Sameer to approach the Bombay High Court.
Sameer approached the Bombay High Court on 19 May. Sameer claimed in the petition – Action is being taken against me with a sense of revenge. There were allegations of corruption against me earlier also. Even then the proof was not found. Even CBI will not get the evidence.
The Bombay High Court has directed the CBI not to take any action on Wankhede till May 22. However, the court said in its direction that Sameer will have to appear before the CBI on May 20 at 11 am.

What was the whole matter of Aryan Khan and Sameer Wankhede

Sameer Wankhede, who was the zonal director of NCB, raided on 2 October 2021 after receiving information about rave party in Cordelia Cruise going from Mumbai to Goa. Aryan Khan was arrested from here. After this Aryan was in Arthur Road Jail for 27 days. Due to lack of concrete evidence against Aryan, the court granted him bail on 28 October and he came out of jail on 30 October.

Sameer Wankhede said while going to CBI office – Satyamev Jayate
Sameer Wankhede reached the CBI’s BKC office in Mumbai on Saturday for questioning. While going inside, Wankhede had said Satyamev Jayate (Truth wins) in front of the media. Questioning of Sameer went on from 11 am to 4 pm.
