Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia tweeted on Saturday claiming that the CBI has raided his office. He welcomed the team. Here, the investigating agency denied the raid and said – Our officers had gone to collect some papers from his office.
Sisodia wrote in his tweet – CBI has raided his house earlier also. It has also reached his village. The CBI has neither found anything against him nor will get anything. Manish Sisodia said that he has not done anything wrong. He has sincerely worked for the education of the children.
Explain that Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena had recommended a CBI inquiry into the alleged excise scam. The agency has registered a case against several people including Sisodia. The CBI had questioned Sisodia for several hours in this case and raided his official residence.
Sisodia’s bank locker was searched by CBI four months ago
The CBI, which is probing the irregularities in Delhi’s liquor policy, completed the search of Deputy CM Manish Sisodia’s locker four months ago. Manish Sisodia has a bank locker in Punjab National Bank, Vasundhara Sector 4, Ghaziabad. The CBI team examined the locker in the bank for 45 minutes. During this Manish Sisodia and his wife were also present in the bank.
Manish said – clean chit to me in all the investigation of PM
Manish said, “On the day of Janmashtami, the CBI raided my house. At that time she had taken away the key of my wife’s locker. Today the CBI team came to the bank to open this locker. They also called us.” .Jewelry of wife, children worth Rs 70-80 thousand hardly found from the locker. Investigation is proof that me and my family have come out clean. Manish was to reach PNB Bank at 11 am on the day of the raid 4 months back. He reached the bank at around 11.30 am. The CBI team also reached just 5 minutes before them.
Why Kejriwal’s new liquor policy in questions?
On August 19 also, the CBI had searched the residence of Manish Sisodia in Delhi for several hours.
There is an allegation of disturbances in Delhi’s new excise policy. It is also alleged that liquor license holders have been unfairly benefited through this policy. Licensing has been overlooked. After the tender, there is an allegation of waiving Rs 144 crore of liquor contractors.
There are also allegations like benefiting liquor traders in lieu of bribe and waiving license fees on the pretext of Corona. In this connection, CBI Delhi has filed an FIR in the past, on which investigation is going on.
