‘Brahmastra’ Box Office Collection Day 4: Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt Starrer Passes Monday Test

New Delhi: Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s ‘Brahmastra’ is unstoppable at the box office. After earning Rs 121 crore at the Indian box office over the weekend, the film has passed the Monday test with flying colours and has reportedly collected Rs 16.25 crore on day four of release – Rs 14.25 crore from the Hindi market, and another Rs 2 crore from other languages. The film has earned Rs 135 crore so far at the Indian box office, according to Pinkvilla.

Going by its box office performance, the film is expected to do an opening week of around Rs. 175 crores and it enter Rs. 200 crore club by Sunday. Brahmastra is headed towards Rs 250 cr nett India mark.

On Monday, Dharma Production shared that the film had grossed Rs 225 crore over the weekend, a number that has also been disputed. There had been discrepancies in the box office numbers of the film as the production house and few trade analysts are sharing gross collection, while others are sharing the nett collection of the film.

‘Brahmastra’ was also the number one movie at the global box office during the weekend. This is the first time ever a Bollywood film has topped the worldwide box office charts and the third for any Indian film, all three happening in the last two years. Prior to Brahmastra, Vijay starrer Master and S.S. Rajamouli directed NTR Jr. and Ram Charan starrer ‘RRR’ were the ones to achieve this feat.

‘Brahmastra’ also became the first Asian movie to top the worldwide box office charts, by earning $26.50 million, outnumbering the Chinese film ‘Give Me Five’ and the Korean film ‘Confidential Assignment 2: International’.

The science-fiction fantasy thriller that has an ensemble star cast with Ranbir and Alia in lead roles, has become a rage ever since its release, courtesy the grand scale of this magnum opus drama and the larger than life VFX. ‘Brahmastra’ also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles with Shah Rukh Khan in a special cameo.
