After Gujarat, now Cyclone Biparjoy is wreaking havoc in Rajasthan. It is a matter of relief that its partial effect is being seen on the mountains. Due to its impact in Himachal Pradesh, it rained in six districts last night as well.

Paonta Sahib in Sirmaur recorded maximum 53.2 mm, Dholakuan 41.5 mm and Nahan 22.8 mm. At the same time, it rained in many areas of Shimla, Solan, Mandi, Bilaspur and Kinnaur districts. After this, the weather has become pleasant in the state.

Western Disturbance looks a bit weak

According to the Meteorological Center Shimla, the weather will be bad on the mountains for the next five days. Earlier, for June 22 and 23, a yellow alert was given for heavy rains in most areas. But, according to the latest bulletin released today, the Western Disturbance is weakening a bit. Now till June 24, there may be heavy rains only in some areas. This may also delay the entry of monsoon.

In other areas, the weather may remain clear or partly cloudy at a few places. But on June 24, there is a forecast of rain in most areas of the state.

Impact of Biperjoy – Dr. Pal

Dr. Surendra Pal, director of the Meteorological Center Shimla, said that the rains in many areas were due to the effect of Western Disturbance and cyclonic storm Biparjoy. Its effect can remain for the next two-three days.
