The Bharat Jodo Yatra of former Congress President Rahul Gandhi will pass through 25 assembly seats in seven districts of Malwa-Nimar of the state. The yatra will originate from most of the assembly seats in Indore district. Rahul will address the gathering after visiting Mahakal in Ujjain. Congress is considering this yatra as important before the upcoming assembly. Congress reached 34 from 9 seats
Malwa-Nimar is said to be a stronghold of BJP. Malwa Nimar has 66 seats. In 2013, the BJP had won 56 seats and the Congress nine. Whereas in the year 2018, BJP was reduced to 29 seats. At the same time, Congress formed the government by winning 34 seats. In the year 2018, the Congress returned to power after ending 15 years of exile, but the government went away after Jyotiraditya Scindia-backed MLAs joined the BJP. Let us tell you, the party which won more seats in Malwa Nimar formed the government. BJP had won 47 seats in 2003 and 42 out of 66 seats in 2008. Now the effort of the Congress is to win as many seats as possible other than 35, so that it can be returned to power.
Victory in Malwa means the key to power

In the year 2018, Congress formed the government by winning more seats. But 8 to 9 MLAs supported by Jyotiraditya Scindia joined BJP from this area, after which the Congress government fell. Talking about the exception, in the time of Digvijay Singh, the BJP had won all the seats in Indore in 1993, but the Congress won the rural seats of Malwa Nimar. And Congress formed the government. At that time Chhattisgarh was not separated. Let us tell you that there are 230 assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh.
Keep an eye on tribal vote bank
Apart from this, both the parties are keeping an eye on the tribal vote bank, says Tiwari. Although no political party wants to annoy any class, but there are reserved seats of tribal class in Khandwa, Burhanpur, Khargone, Jhabua, Dhar, Barwani districts of Malwa-Nimar. Both the parties are busy in cultivating this tribal vote bank in the upcoming elections. The Congress’s journey from Malwa-Nimar is also being linked to this.
Instead of India Jodo, take out Congress Jodo Yatra
BJP spokesperson Umesh Sharma says about Congress’s Yatra, Congress should take out Congress Jodo Yatra, not Bharat Jodo. His party officials are leaving him. Rahul Gandhi will strengthen BJP by staying in the state for 16 days, he is the mascot of BJP.

According to the proposed schedule, the Yatra from Burhanpur will enter Madhya Pradesh on November 24. After this, it will enter Rajasthan on December 10 via Khandwa, Khargone, Barwani, Dhar, Indore, Ujjain and Agar Malwa. Congress has been preparing for 2023 elections ever since it came to power. The party was dominated by factionalism earlier, but now the party seems to be united. Jeetu Patwari and PC Sharma have been made in-charge of travel in the state.
