Atiana village man dies of covid, 50 test positive Ludhiana News – Times of India

Ludhiana: A resident of Ludhiana died of Covid-19 and 50 tested positive on Wednesday.
According to the bulletin of the health department, out of the three deaths reported here during the day, one patient each was from Ludhiana, Sangrur and Ferozepur.
The deceased, a resident of Ludhiana, is a 60-year-old man from Atiana village, who breathed his last at a city hospital.
Civil Surgeon Dr Kiran Ahluwalia said the death toll in the district has gone up to 2,080 and the number of outsiders has gone up to 1,034.
So far 16,42,102 people have been screened. 12 people from outside the district also tested positive here during the day.
Officials of the local health department said that the number of infected in the district is 86,741 and the number of outsiders is 11,464.
So far 84,185 patients have been cured, which is 97.05% of the total cases.
There are 476 active cases. The number of samples collected on Wednesday stood at 11,009.
CMCH has 274 ventilators in private hospitals, including four in the government.
Seventeen patients are on ventilators. Of these, six are from Ludhiana.
