Arshdeep Singh’s Instagram Story Featuring ‘Three Ducks in One Frame’ Goes Viral

Team India pacer Arshdeep Singh shared a hilarious Instagram story featuring his teammates Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ravi Bishnoi after the trio faced disappointing dismissals, securing ducks in the first T20I against Australia. Arshdeep used emojis representing a diamond and a duck for himself and Ruturaj Gaikwad, while Ravi Bishnoi got a gold and duck emoji.

All three players had an unfortunate outing, heading back to the pavilion without contributing to the scoreboard. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Arshdeep Singh received diamond ducks, and Ravi Bishnoi faced a golden duck. Following the match, Arshdeep Singh shared a story featuring all three players that did rounds on the internet.

Gaikwad’s dismissal occurred due to a mix-up with his opening partner Yashasvi Jaiswal, resulting in a run-out before facing a single delivery in the very first over of India’s batting innings. Meanwhile, Ravi Bishnoi and Arshdeep Singh were run out on the fourth and fifth balls of the final over, sacrificing their wickets to maintain a strike for Rinku Singh, who ultimately secured the win for India on the final ball.

Australia posted a formidable total of 208/3 batting first, led by Josh Inglis’ 47-ball century. While Arshdeep Singh remained wicketless and conceded 41 runs in his four overs, Ravi Bishnoi managed to dismiss Mathew Short but was taken for an onslaught by Josh Inglis, giving away 54 runs in his four overs.

However, an explosive 112-run partnership between Suryakumar Yadav (80) and Ishan Kishan (58) propelled India’s chase, followed by a crucial cameo from Rinku Singh (22), resulting in India achieving their highest-ever run-chase in T20Is and clinching victory by 2 wickets.

Just three days after India’s heartbreaking loss to Australia in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 final at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, India secured a victory over the same opponent. Australia’s win marked their record-breaking 6th trophy triumph. The upcoming clash between India and Australia is set for November 26, Sunday, marking the second match of the ongoing T20I series.
