AIMIM MLA’s son and nephew have been arrested by the local police in the Hyderabad rape case. Both are minors. The police also said that the Innova car in which the crime was committed is a government car. Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand said that the car was allotted to the father of one of the accused. The father of the accused is a Rakhusdar leader who heads a prominent government organization.

The police have so far arrested six people, out of which five are minors. Police Commissioner Anand said that the MLA’s son has not been detained for gang rape, but under section 354 of the Indian Penal Code and POCSO Act. The remaining five accused have been charged under sections 376 (D) (gang rape), 354, 366 (kidnapping), POCSO Act, IT Act (for circulating videos of the victim) and several other sections.

According to the police, the victim was gang-raped in this Innova car itself.

Two cars used in crime
Anand said that two cars were used in the crime and both were being driven by minors. On the evening of May 28, at around 5:30, the victim came out with 8 people. Everyone left from there in two cars.

Four minors were sitting with the victim in a Mercedes-Benz and the rest in Innavo. All of them reached the bakery from here. On the way, videos of four minors kissing the victim circulated on social media. After reaching the bakery, the victim sat down in Innova. In this he was accompanied by four minors and one adult accused. The accused drove the car to Jubilee Hills road number 44, where they gang-raped her.

Police can arrest parents of minors
Why did it take so long to arrest the MLA’s son? In response to this question, Commissioner Anand said that the police wanted to see all the evidence mixed with the statement of the victim. Apart from this, there were many other factors on which the MLA’s son could be taken into custody only after taking care of it. Commissioner Anand told that the police is thinking of arresting the parents of all the minors, but first the facts will be investigated.
