KHARAGPUR. Voluntary blood donation camp was organized on behalf of Kharagpur factory unit of South Eastern Railway Labor Union. All government hospitals are currently struggling with the shortage of blood in summer and this program will act as a lifeline in it. The blood donation camp was organized under the supervision of doctors and KVBDO of Railway Main Hospital, Kharagpur. In this, 33 units of blood were collected, in which there were one female blood donor and two blood donors who donated blood for the first time. In the program, 15 (fifteen) contractor women sweepers were honored by presenting sarees.

Present Chief Medical Superintendent of Railway Main Hospital, Dr. Rajendra Kumar Behera, Deputy Chief Mechanical Engineer (Diesel), Ashutosh Kumar, Deputy Chief Mechanical Engineer (Haldia), Narendra Kumar were present as chief guests. Prahlad Singh, General Secretary Balwant Singh, Zonal Vice President Manish Chandra Jha, Zonal Organization Minister P.K. Patro, Factory Secretary P.K. Kundu, be present. Apart from this, Kaushik Sarkar, Prakash Ranjan, Jalaj Kumar Gupta, Krishnamurthy, Santosh Singh, Lalit Prasad Sharma, V. Tarakeshwar Rao, General Secretary of STST Association Hansraj, Factory Secretary Shambhu Prasad, Factory Secretary of OBC Association Srinivas Rao and Rakesh Kumar of Men’s Congress. Singh, Praveen Kumar, Ishwar Rao also encouraged the blood donors.
The General Secretary thanked all the office bearers and workers for successfully organizing the blood donation camp. Zonal Vice President Manish Chandra Jha thanked all the blood donors.
