The results of the Karnataka Assembly elections will be out on May 13. But according to 5 out of 10 exit polls, there is no chance of a clear majority for either the BJP or the Congress. Congress has been predicted to form the government in 4 polls. 1st poll is giving majority to BJP. At the same time, 5 surveys are telling JDS as kingmaker with an estimate of 20 to 38 seats.

Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has been sent on remand of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for 8 days. He was arrested in the Al Qadir Trust scam. Since then the demonstration of PTI supporters is going on. 8 people have died during the violence in 18 cities. Army is deployed in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces including the capital Islamabad.

1. 72% voting in Karnataka, violence at 3 places, machines and vehicles vandalized on rumors of EVM replacement

Around 72% votes have been cast in all 224 seats in Karnataka. According to the data released by the Election Commission till 10 pm on Wednesday night, 71.77% voting took place. These figures will be updated by this morning. There was 72% voting in the 2018 assembly elections. For the first time in Karnataka, over 94,000 senior citizens and differently abled voted from home. There are 2614 candidates in the fray for 224 seats.

CM Basavaraj Bommai rejected the exit polls and said that his party would win with a clear majority. Earlier, violence took place at three places during voting. Police said some EVMs and VVPAT machines were vandalized by people in Basavana Bagewadi taluk of Vijayapura. Vehicles of polling officers were also vandalised. Rumors were rife that the officials were tampering with the voting by changing the machines.

2. PM and Gehlot taunt each other, CM said – Rajasthan has overtaken Gujarat
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot took a political jibe at each other from the same platform. In fact, PM Modi laid the foundation stone of projects worth ₹ 5 thousand crore including railway line in Nathdwara, Rajasthan. Modi said, ‘If the railway lines had already been electrified, there would have been no need to do this work by spending thousands of crores.’

5. SC verdict today on Shinde-Thackeray dispute, Uddhav wants to cancel Governor’s order

A constitutional bench headed by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud will pronounce its verdict today on separate petitions filed by Uddhav and Shinde factions. The hearing on the petitions began on February 17. On March 16, after the arguments of all the parties were completed, the bench had reserved the verdict. The Uddhav faction had demanded that the governor’s order to hold the June 2022 floor test be quashed.

PAK actress said to complain about Modi to Delhi Police; Got the answer – Pakistan is not yet in our jurisdiction

Pakistan’s actress Sehar Shinwari asked for online link of Delhi Police by tweeting. Sehar wrote – Anyone know the online link of Delhi Police? I have to complain about there Prime Minister Narendra Modi and intelligence agency RAW, these people are spreading terrorism in my country. If the Supreme Court of India is as independent as it claims, I expect justice to be served there.
