In Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, a three-month-old innocent died on the road due to lack of timely treatment. The child’s mother alleged that the negligence of the traffic police took her child’s life. She cried in front of the traffic police, begged to go to the hospital, let it go, but they did not let it go. The traffic police has denied the woman’s allegations.

The condition of a three-month-old girl Saraswati of Marigarhi village of Jangaon city was critical. Saraswati, along with husband Mallesh, was taking the child to the Nilofer Hospital in Hyderabad for treatment in a rented car. Meanwhile, his car was stopped by the traffic police near Vangapalli village in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district. The authorities confiscated the driver’s license. Also said that when the driver pays the pending challans, only then he will return the license and allow the car to proceed. All this took more than half an hour.

The doctor said – if I had come 10 minutes earlier, my life would have been saved.
Saraswati alleges, “My child was in agony. I told the traffic police officers that my child is very ill. We have to go to the hospital. Give life, but the traffic police said that the driver will be allowed to go only after the payment of the pending challan. I cried, pleaded in front of the traffic policemen, but they did not listen to my plea. It took more than 30 minutes to deduct the challan and pay it. Meanwhile, my child died in agony. When I reached the hospital, the doctor said that it was too late to save the child. Had we come 10 minutes earlier, maybe we could have saved the child.

According to local media, Saraswati and Mallesh’s child fell ill. The couple reached the private hospital in Jangaon with the child. Due to the deteriorating condition of the child, the doctor referred the child to Nilofer Hospital in Hyderabad. While traveling from Jaggaon to Hyderabad, the traffic police checked the vehicle number and found a pending challan of Rs 1000. By the time the driver called the owner of the car and resolved the matter, it was too late.

Traffic police claim – did not give emergency information
The mother of the deceased child, Saraswati, alleged that the negligence of the police took the life of her child. Yadagirigutta Traffic Police Inspector S Saidaiah has denied the woman’s allegations. Inspector says that under routine check, the challan of his car was found pending. The inspector claimed that neither the driver nor the passengers informed that they were going to the hospital. If we had known that there was an emergency, we would not have stopped them at all.

Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Anil Kumar said that he has instructed the traffic policemen to be lenient in emergency.
