The strike by the country’s top wrestlers at Jantar Mantar over the arrest of Wrestling Federation of India President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh continued for the 22nd day on Sunday. Meanwhile, the ad hoc committee has released the trial schedule for the Under-17 and 23 Asian Wrestling Championships.
The trials for the competition will be held from May 17 to 20 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. In which trials of two to three weight categories will be taken every day. These trials will be held in Sonipat and Patiala. Ad-hoc committee member Bhupendra Singh Bajwa will also be present in Sonipat.
In which trials will be held for freestyle category in Sonepat and Greco-Roman and women wrestlers in Patiala. All its preparations have been completed. Ad-hoc committee member Bhupendra Singh Bajwa, SAI wrestling team chief coach Jagminder Singh and Arjuna awardee wrestler Ramesh Kumar Gulia will be present in the selection committee for the trial process in Sonepat.
Dronacharya awardee Suma Shirur, Maha Singh Rao and Arjuna awardee Alka Tomar have been included in the selection committee for trials of women and Greco-Roman wrestlers in Patiala. In the trial process, the wrestlers will be given a relaxation of two kg during the weight. Along with the load, videography of the trial process will be done. There will be different cameras on all Mates.

Freestyle Category: 57, 61, 65, 70, 74, 79, 86, 92, 97 and 125 kg.
Greco-Roman Class: 55, 60, 63, 67, 72, 77, 82, 87, 97 and 130 kg.
Women’s Category: 50, 53, 55, 57, 59, 62, 65, 68, 72 and 76 kg.
Under-17 :
Freestyle and Greco Roman classes : 45, 48, 51, 55, 60, 65, 71, 80, 92 and 110
Women’s Category: 40, 43, 46, 49, 53, 57, 61, 65, 69 and 73 kg.

May 20: 92 and 110 kg in under-17 and 57, 61 and 65 kg in under-23.
