It is not impossible to achieve any destination when your intentions are true. Delhi’s ultra runner Sufia Khan has become a living example of this. Who has made a Guinness World Record for the fastest journey of 6,002 km on India’s longest quadrilateral highway in 110 days.

Running is her biggest passion for 35-year-old Sufia, to fulfill that she left her job 5 years ago and became a full time runner. Earlier, she has completed the journey from Kashmir to Kanyakumari for Mission Home.

This is how the journey of making a world record started
Moving towards the world record, Sufia started her race on 16 December 2020 from the national capital Delhi. She then returned on 6 April, completing the Golden Quadrilateral circuit crossing Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai. In this way he completed the race in 110 days, 23 hours and 24 minutes. She is the fastest woman to do so, hence her name has been recorded in the Guinness World Records. Sufia was awarded the Guinness World Records Certificate on 27 March 2022. Since then she has been making headlines from all over the world.

The journey continued even after getting hurt on the dark roads
Taking a Guinness World Record certificate in hand, ultra runner Sufia Khan thanked those who supported her on social media and wrote, ‘I would like to thank all those who became companions of my journey, welcomed me to their city, Somebody fed me home, gave me a place to stay and worried for me when I ran alone at night, who prayed for me every day.’

Sufia tells that she got hurt many times during this journey but she did not give up. The only thing on his mind while creating the Guinness World Records was that he has to complete this race in the shortest possible time, no matter what happens.

Husband supported every step
Sufia’s husband Vikas had a great support in completing this race. Sufia tells that her husband used to travel along with her in the car. During this, he used to support the whole time. Taking care of their food and drink. He took care of everything from physiotherapy along with his diet and nutrition. Sufia’s husband Vikas is her life partner as well as her trainer.

Started running career in 2017
Sufia, who started ultra running two years ago, actually started running marathon from the year 2017 and from here her running career started.

Now ultra running is his passion. His dream is to continue running ultra running full time. Before registering her name in the Guinness World Records, Sufia has completed the journey from Kashmir to Kanyakumari in 87 days, 2 hours, 17 minutes for her Mission Hope. She was also the fastest woman to do so. Apart from this, she has also covered the 480 km long Manali-Leh highway in 6 days, 12 hours and 6 minutes.

Rajasthani girl started running without training
Originally from Ajmer, Rajasthan, Sufia has been living in Delhi for a long time. Here she used to work as a Ground Staff Assistant at Delhi Airport. But in 2017 Sufia participated in a half marathon held in Delhi. After that he made up his mind to run longer distances. Completed the distance of Delhi-Agra-Jaipur Highway in 16 days, 1 hour and 27 minutes without any training. For this he did not have to take any special training of any kind. Just decided in my mind to complete it. Today the whole world is seeing the effect of his confidence.
