Bangladesh, on the other hand earned a victory in their opening World Cup 2023 match against Afghanistan. The Shakib Al Hasan-led side defeated Afghanistan in that game by six wickets. Bangladesh, however, suffered a loss in their next World Cup 2023 fixture at the hands of England by 137 runs.
