The winter session of Parliament is starting from today. This session will be of total 23 days, in which there will be 17 sittings. On this occasion, the government will present a total of 16 bills. Here, the opposition is also preparing to attack the government on many issues. It is believed that the opposition may attack the Center on the Morbi incident, inflation, unemployment, the appointment of Election Commission Arun Goyal and the collegium system on the appointment of judges. The proceedings of the House will end on December 29.

Earlier on Tuesday an all party meeting was held. In which the opposition parties demanded discussion on rising prices, unemployment and EWS reservation. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge raised the issue of appointment of Election Commissioner in a day. TMC leader Derek O’Brien said the opposition should be allowed to raise their voice during the session.

Dhankhar will preside over the Rajya Sabha for the first time
A day before the commencement of the session, the Rajya Sabha has issued a code of conduct for MPs. On the first day of the session, tributes will be paid to the MPs who have passed away between the two sessions in the Lok Sabha. Mulayam Singh Yadav of Samajwadi Party died in October due to prolonged illness. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar will preside over the Rajya Sabha for the first time in this session.

16 bills will be introduced in the session
Last week, the government released a list of 16 bills to be introduced during the winter session. 16 There is a National Dental Commission Bill in the bill, under which a National Dental Commission will be formed by abolishing the Dental Act of 1948. Under the National Nursing and Midwifery Commission Bill, the Ministry of Health wants to bring the National Nursing and Midwifery Commission.

With this, the Indian Nursing Council Act of 1947 will be abolished. Apart from this, the government is preparing to bring Cantonment Bill 2022, Old Grant Regulation Bill and Coastal Aquaculture Authority Amendment Bill.

Congress is against three bills
Out of the 16 bills listed by the government, the Congress party is strongly against three. Congress says that Biological Diversity Amendment Bill 2021, Multi State Cooperative Society Amendment Bill 2022 and Forest Conservation Amendment Bill 2022 should be assigned to standing committees. In the present form these Bills cannot be discussed and the Congress Party does not support them.

Rahul Gandhi will not attend the session
Jairam Ramesh has said that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi will not be able to attend the winter session of this Parliament as he will be busy with Bharat Jodo Yatra at that time. The Congress says that Rahul Gandhi does not want to leave the yatra midway and go anywhere. This is the reason why Rahul Gandhi did not go to rally for Himachal assembly elections. However, Congress included the names of 40 big leaders including Rahul and Sonia Gandhi in the list of star campaigners.

This Will Probably Be the Last Session in the Old Building
Apart from this, this winter session will be the last one in the current building of Parliament. After this, there will be a budget session in the year 2023, which will be the first session in the new building of Parliament. The first session of the year begins with a speech by the President addressing the members of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
