SRK teased Ranbir about Deepika.
Shah Rukh Khan said that the days when Deepika Padukone would dance in front of Ranbir are over.
As Awards season is upon us, an old clip of Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor has resurfaced on social media. The clip is from when the two superstars had hosted an awards show together. In the viral video, Shah Rukh Khan can be seen teasing Ranbir Kapoor about Deepika Padukone, whom he had dated for several years.
In the video, Shah Rukh said, “Aur ab stage par aane wali hain, the one and only, the most beautiful Deepika Padukone. Come on, big round of applause.” Ranbir then started beaming from cheek to cheek and went on to sit on the stage. Shah Rukh Khan then approached him and said, “Ranbir, beta voh din hawa ho gaye jab Deepika tere saamne dance karti thi.” This left everyone in splits.
Shah Rukh added, “Come on, give me your hand. Get up. Maine tujhe bataya nahi, uska jo RK ka tattoo tha na uske saamne usne S laga ke SRK ka tattoo kara liya hai.” Shah Rukh then told Ranbir that Deepika was not coming on stage, as he longingly looked back to check.
One person wrote, “SRK RK was a good hosting pair it worked well.” Another added, “Yeh wala award night bohot acha tha.” One person wrote, “I think Tanmay Bhat, Rohan Joshi and the whole gang were the writers.” To this, another replied, “Yeah Tanmay also said SRK was telling stories the entire night and all of them were drinking and at one point RK just kept re-filling SRK’s glass in a funny way like a junior to keep SRK talking.”
Post their breakup, Ranbir and Deepika continued to work together in films like Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani and Tamasha. Fans love their on-screen chemistry. They will soon be seen in the second part of Brahmastra, wherein Deepika will play young Ranbir’s mother.
