Paresh Adhikari appeared at the ED office at the CGO complex on Monday. After about four hours, the former Minister of State for Education came out of the CGO complex to meet the reporters and said that he had gone to take back the confiscated documents. Meanwhile, media reports claim that he was summoned for questioning in the SSC recruitment corruption case. Paresh reached the ED office at Bidhannagar’s CGO complex shortly before 12 noon on Monday. He came out around 3:30 pm.

Coming out of the ED office and facing the reporters, the Trinamool MLA said, ‘I came to collect some documents today. I was given a letter to take back the documents which were seized from my house. That’s why I came.’ Meanwhile, it is known that soon Paresh Adhikari may be summoned to the ED office with another letter.

According to ED sources, Paresh Adhikari will be summoned to find out whether there was any transaction of money to illegally get a job for his daughter Ankita Adhikari, how the job was sold in exchange for money. Meanwhile, ED has summoned 2 accountants of Manik Bhattacharya close to Tapas Mandal in the preliminary recruitment corruption investigation. It is said that the accountants have been summoned to find out where the lakhs of rupees collected from DLed institutions and students have gone. They have to appear at the CGO complex on November 10.
