Team India skipper Rohit Sharma bonded with his former teammates Amit Mishra and Abhishek Nayar during the practice session on the eve of India vs Australia third ODI match at Rajkot. After completing his net session, Rohit was on his way to the dressing room when he saw Mishra and Nayar who were part of the broadcasting team and were shooting a live program for the pre-match.

Rohit joined the two former cricketers and had a chat with them. The Indian captain pulled Mishra’s legs and asked him, “Why are you eyes so red?”

To which Mishra replied, “I have slept only three hours.”

Rohit was in a fun mood and asked, “What commitment, I am impressed. You didn’t have that much commitment when you were out in the field.”

“You didn’t play for me,” he added.

The veteran leggie was also in a jolly mood as he replied, “You didn’t pick me, What can I do.”

Mishra also asked about Rohit’s health and fitness.

“Feeling toh acha hai. Jab aap log ground pe ho toh feeling toh badhiya hi hai (Im feeling good. In fact I am bound to feel good when you guys are on the field),” the Indian captain said.

“Body wody sab badhiya hai (My body is feeling good),” he further added.

“Milte hai practice ke baad (We will meet after practice),” he said while bidding goodbye.

Meanwhile, Rohit on Tuesday said five players, including in-form Shubman Gill, will not be available for selection for the third ODI against Australia, as the squad has been hit by a viral sickness and some players have opted to return home.

While Gill is rested, Axar Patel is recuperating at NCA from the left quadricep injury that he suffered during the Asia Cup.

Pacers Mohammed Shami and Shardul Thakur, who played the first two ODIs against the Aussies, and Hardik Pandya, who is yet to play in this series, have opted to go back to their respective homes.

“We have got a lot of players who are sick and not available, a lot of players have personal problems so they have gone home and a few of the guys have been rested as well.

“We have got 13 players at this point in time,” said Rohit during the pre-match press meet.
