The West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) has started accepting applications for the WBPSC SI (Sub-Inspector) Recruitment 2023. Interested and eligible candidates who wish to participate in the recruitment can submit their application forms for the WBPSC SI Recruitment 2023 on the official website – wbpsc.gov.in. Candidates must note that they will be required to register on the WBPSC website first before applying for the recruitment. The application fee for the recruitment is Rs 110 excluding service charges and GST. Candidates from the SC/ ST, PwD candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.
The last date to apply for the WBPSC SI Recruitment 2023 and pay the fee online is September 20, 2023. Registered candidates can also pay the application fee offline through challan by September 21, 2023, but in such cases, candidates must ensure that the challan is generated by September 20, 2023. Moreover, no facility to ‘Edit Applications’ shall be provided by the commission to candidates. Therefore, candidates are advised to carefully verify all the details filled in the application form before submitting.

Notably, the WBPSC is conducting the recruitment to fill a total of 480 vacancies for the posts of Sub-Inspector in the Subordinate Food & Supplies Service, Grade-III, under the Food & Supplies Department of the government of West Bengal. Candidates who have passed their Madhyamik Examinations, and can read, write, and speak in Bengali/ Nepali are eligible to apply for the WBPSC SI Recruitment 2023. Furthermore, applicants should not be below 18 years of age or above 40 years of age, as on January 1, 2023, in order to apply for the recruitment. The shortlisting of candidates for the WBPSC SI Recruitment 2023 shall be done on the basis of a written test followed by a personality test. The written exam will be conducted in the offline mode where candidates will be required to mark their responses in the OMR sheet. The exam will be conducted at 26 centres across West Bengal. Those who clear the written examination shall be called to appear for the further Personality Test. - On the homepage, click on the ‘Apply Now’ button under the ‘Candidates Corner’ section
- Click on the link to apply for the WBPSC SI Recruitment 2023
- Register as a new user and generate your Applicant ID/ Enrollment ID and Password
- Login again using your credentials and fill in the application form with all required details
- Upload required documents
- Pay the application fee (generate challan and process the application fee payment, in case of offline payment)
- Submit the application
- Download the application confirmation page for future reference
