Virat Kohli was left in splits as Ishan Kishan mimicked his walk, before Kohli corrected the former as the Indian players engaged in banter after the Asia Cup 2023 win

Virat Kohli and Ishan Kishan engaged in some friendly banter as the Indian team celebrated their Asia Cup 2023 triumph. In a video that is going viral on social media like wildfire, Kishan was seen mimicking Kohli’s walking style after which Virat can be seen correcting the former.

The video was shot was one of the fans in the stands at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo as the Indian players were seen engaging in some banter.  The viral clip features Ishan mimicking Kohli’s style of walking, while Tilak Varma, Shreyas Iyer, Virat himself, Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya watched on. Kishan’s mimicry sparked a hilarious reaction for the former Indian captain who then received a hug from Gill who failed to control his laughter.

India’s hero of the Asia Cup 2023 final Mohammed Siraj then entered the frame as Kishan then copied Kohli’s hop-and-run style, as seen during a recent viral video when the 34-year-old was rested for the Super 4 fixture against Bangladesh.

Virat sprinted onto the field and was seen hopping along the way as he carried the drinks for his teammates. As Kishan made his way back to the group, Virat then continued the mimicry, sparking plenty of applause from the fans who watched all the banter.

Finally, Kishan again copied Virat’s walk as the other players enjoyed the light moments after their Asia Cup 2023 triumph.

The Men in Blue won a record-extending eighth Asia Cup title on Sunday, September 17, beating co-hosts Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in their own den. Siraj was the Man of the Match as he picked up six wickets during a fiery spell that saw Dasun Shanaka’s men fold for a paltry 50 runs in the final.

Sri Lanka recorded their lowest ever total in the Asia Cup as Kusal Mendis top scorer for the champions of the 2022 edition as he smashed 17 runs.

Along with Siraj’s six-wicket haul, Hardik Pandya also chipped in with three wickets while Jasprit Bumrah also picked up a solitary scalp.

Chasing a 51-run target, India breezed their way to the required total with Shubman Gill scoring 27 runs, while Ishan scored 23 to carry India over the line without much fuss.

The win would give Rohit Sharma’s men a big boost as they prepare for the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2023 at home, but before that, the Men in Blue with lock horns with Australia in a three-match ODI series at home starting from September 22.
