Watch Video: Man Dressed As UK PM Boris Johnson Entertains Spectators On Cricket Ground

New Delhi: It was a field day for a man, who dressed up as the United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and entertained spectators on day two of the third and final Test between England and New Zealand. The viral video shows the man running through the stands while being chased by his friends dressed as police officers, according to the UK online publication Indy 100. The incident took place at Headingley Cricket Ground in Leeds, England. The cricket lover, who tried to ape the UK PM with a blonde wig, blue tie and white shirt, had “Please vote Boris 4 No. 10” written on the back.

The group can be seen making their way along the edge of the boundary while the crowd is cheering.

The video was captured by social media user Billy Hunt before being posted by the Barmy Army, according to the report.

The video has garnered more than 488,000 views and several likes and comments. One user joked on Twitter saying, “Can’t be the real Boris Johnson. The police are making an effort to catch him.” Other termed the video as “amazing” and “brilliant” while flooding the comment section with laughing emojis

The video appears to be a dig at the recent Partygate scandal, where Johnson became the first sitting Prime Minister to have broken the law. The Metropolitan Police had investigated 12 different law-breaking parties held in Downing Street and Whitehall during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The UK PM is said to have attended six of them and also charged with a fine on his 2020 birthday party. Even as the leader faced a vote of no-confidence earlier in May following the scandal, Johnson managed to survive.
