New Delhi: As the last phase of polling in Uttar Pradesh draws close, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached his parliamentary constituency of Varanasi for campaigning. After his roadshow for his party, the Prime Minister cherished the essence of the city by enjoying tea at a tea stall and attempting to play ‘Damru’.

Prime Minister Modi reached a small tea stall after his roadshow where he sipped tea with other members of the party.

The Prime Minister also tried his hands at playing percussion instrument, Damru at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple after completing his roadshow.

Ahead of the seventh phase of polling in Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Modi held a roadshow on Friday. The 3.5 kilometre roadshow passed through Lahurabir Kabir Chaura, Maidagin and Chauk area and culminated near the Kashi Vishwanath temple. The roadshow covered three Assembly segments of Cantonment, Varanasi North and Varanasi South.

Samajwadi Party chief, Akhilesh Yadav is also expected to hold a roadshow in Varanasi.

Eight districts of the Eastern UP will undergo polls in the seventh phase on March 5 while the votes will be counted on March 10.
