‘Virbhadra Singh is alive in the hearts of the people’: Himachal Congress President Pratibha said – won the by-elections in his name, now will also win the assembly elections

Shimla15 hours ago

Former CM Virbhadra Singh, who ran the Congress on his own for more than 50 years in Himachal, of course, is not in this assembly election, but the Congress has his support. Every poster-banner of the party in the state has a picture of ‘Raja Saheb’.

The Congress high command is well aware that charismatic leadership like him is rarely found in the mountains. This is the first assembly election in Himachal after the death of Virbhadra Singh and it is almost impossible to fill the vacuum created by his absence. For this reason, the high command not only made his wife Pratibha Singh the chief of Himachal Congress, but her opinion was also given importance to a great extent in ticket distribution. It can also be said that Congress is running Virbhadra Singh’s wife and Mandi MP Pratibha Singh as its face.

Pratibha Singh also understands very well the meaning of Virbhadra Singh’s existence or non-existence. That is why she says that the people of the mountain will vote for the Congress only in the name of their heartfelt Aziz leader. In the by-elections held in Mandi parliamentary constituency and three assembly seats in 2021, the Congress got sympathy votes after the death of Virbhadra Singh and it will be the same this time as well. Virbhadra Singh ji is alive in the hearts of people even today and will always be alive in future also.

Congress is in opposition in Himachal for 5 years and according to the tradition of this hill state, it is hoping to get majority this time. Dainik Bhaskar spoke to Pratibha Singh on the strategy of Congress regarding the assembly elections. Here are the main parts of it…

BhasCongress of Publicity ahead increasedwhat is the strategy?

Pratibha Singh: The sacrifice and contribution made by senior Congress leader Virbhadra Singh ji for the Congress, people remember it easily even today. This is the first time we are facing BJP in the field without him. Even today Virbhadra Singh ji is in the hearts of the people. People remember him with love and hospitality. I think it is because of the same sentiment that the Congress won the by-polls last year. Now the failures of the BJP government in the assembly elections are in front of everyone. We are confident that we will get the support of the people and people will form the Congress government.

Bhaskar: It is customary to change the government after every 5 years in Himachal. BJP is claiming that this time this custom will change and it will repeat it. what would you say?

Pratibha Singh: Congress party is working with strength. What the BJP is claiming to change the customs will not happen. This time Congress will come to power in Himachal, I can say this with full claim.

Bhaskar : Congress In Ticket allotment To taking Plenty tussle Went. If Ticket before Give lamps goes So Nominees To Publicity get more time for TicketWhat will you say about the delay in?

Pratibha Singh: This isn’t the first time this has happened. Ticket allotment takes time during elections. Many things have to be seen in this. Like who is the winning candidate? To whom should the ticket be given? Who would be right to field in the field? etcetera etcetera. It just takes time. The people who got the tickets were already working in their respective fields. Even further, he will go to the ground and speak in public.

Bhaskar: Contenders for the post of CM are being raised from every district in the Congress. There is internal tussle going on among the leaders. Factionalism prevails. How will you deal with this as president?

Pratibha Singh: That time hasn’t come yet. Now we have to make our candidates win. When he comes after winning and we have majority, we will form the government. What would be the situation at that time? what will happen? What won’t happen? The answer will be given at that time. For now, we have to focus our attention on the election. We have complete faith in our workers and also in the candidates. We will surely be successful.
