A letter from the Ministry of Defense is going viral on social media, in which it has been claimed that the candidates who were recruited in 2019 who could not reach the post of Sainik Nayak, will come under the Agneepath scheme. Now the central government has termed the viral letter as fake. The government made it clear on Monday that the letter circulating in the name of the Defense Ministry is fake. What was the claim in the letter?
The letter, which is going viral, claimed that the Online Registration System (ORs), which were verified on January 1, 2019, and which were not promoted to the original rank of Sena Naik or its equivalent on July 1, 2022, have been declared under the Agneepath scheme. to be placed under. The fake letter also states that the ORs will have to go through a fresh selection process after completing five years of service.

The letter further reads that it is extremely important to note that only 25% of the ORs will make it to the next stage and will be registered for the new pilot program tender. The remaining 75% will be retired under the Discharge Service Fund as per the existing discharge policy.

35 WhatsApp banned
Earlier on Sunday, the central government has banned 35 WhatsApp groups due to the fake news being spread on the Agneepath scheme. 10 people have also been arrested in this case. All these are said to be the administrators of the WhatsApp group. However, the government has not clarified what action was taken against the administrators of these groups.

Government’s stand on Agneepath
On Sunday, the three wings of the Indian Army had a press conference regarding the Agneepath scheme. In this, the officers of the three army had appealed to the youth not to get misled in any way.
