Jammu: Following complaints regarding fleecing of pilgrims by fraudsters offering online booking of helicopter rides to Vaishno Devi shrine, the temple administration has clarified that no agent or agency has been authorized to offer such services.
Stating that a complaint has already been filed with the cyber crime branch of J&K Police, chief executive officer of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB), Ramesh Kumarhas asked pilgrims not to fall prey to fraudsters for booking helicopter tickets.
A SMVDSB spokesperson said, “Sale of helicopter tickets for pilgrims travelling from Katra to Sanjichhat and back is the sole prerogative of the shrine board and it has not authorized any agent, agency or person to use its name to sell or undertake online bookings for services being provided by the shrine board.”
“All online services offered by the shrine board are through the official website www.maavaishnodevi.org and MATA VAISHNO DEVI APP,” he added.
