Actress Vaani Kapoor will soon be seen in a family drama, alongside Aparshakrti Khurana and Paresh Pawal. As per the latest reports, Vaani will be playing Aparshakti’s sibling in the film. The film will be directed by Navjot Gulati and is yet to have a title, as per reports.
“It’s a family dramedy set against the backdrop of dysfunctional relationships in modern times. The makers were keen to get a cast of credible actors on board to spearhead the project and it was an instant yes from the trio of Vaani Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, and Aparshakti Khurrana,” a source close to the development told Pinkvilla.
“Vaani and Aparshakti are playing siblings in the film and bring an interesting dynamic to the arc of the story. Paresh Rawal like always has an author-backed role in this family dramedy,” the source added. The film is written and directed by Navjot Gulati.
Meanwhile, Vaani was last seen in the 2022 film Shamshera, led by Ranbir Kapoor. She did not have any releases in 2023. Vaani Kapoor will soon be seen alongside Ajay Devgn in Raid 2. The film is directed by Rajkumar Gupta. The shooting of the film is currently underway and it is scheduled to hit the big screen on November 15, 2024. It’s a sequel to the 2018 film Raid which was a hit.
As for Aparshakti Khurana, he will soon be seen in Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2. latest reports, Varun will make a cameo appearance in Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 as his character in his film Bhediya. The reports mention that Varun recently finished shooting his sequence with Shraddha. He also had Bhediya 2 in the pipeline, which will kick off from where Stree 2 will end.
After much delay, the Dinesh Vijan production Stree 2 finally went on floors in July this year in Chanderi, a town in Madhya Pradesh where the first instalment of the horror-comedy franchise was also set. The shoot of the film starring Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee is currently underway.
