Uttarakhand: Representatives of firms accused of labs in Kumbh Mela, fake Kovid testing case

Haridwar: The investigation team constituted by the District Magistrate on Thursday questioned the representatives of the firm to get more information about the fake Kovid-19 testing at the Kumbh Mela. Representatives of the accused companies, Max Corporate Service and Hisar based Nalwa Lab reached Vikas Bhavan to present their case.

The case is registered in the office of CDO Saurabh Gaharwar located at Vikas Bhawan, district headquarters Roshanabad.

Whereas the operators of Lalchandani Lab of Delhi have asked to come to Haridwar on Monday. At the same time, CDO Sourav Gaharwar questioned the representatives of Max Corporate Service in his office. The CDO interrogated the representatives for about 6 hours behind closed doors.

Representatives of Max Corporate Service said that the Investigating Officer (CDO) called them for questioning and they gave all the information. We have full cooperation in the investigation.

Investigating officers said that they have got an agreement with both the labs. The lab was responsible for testing and now this matter is also being investigated. Reportedly, 100,000 fake test cases have been reported from Nalwa Lab.

Testing lab held responsible

Representatives of Max Corporate Service say that Max Corporate Service has not done the testing and the lab that did the testing is not being questioned. We are being dragged into this matter without any reason. Max said we only had contracts with two labs.

CDO Saurabh Gaharwar says, “Today representatives of Max Corporate Service and both the labs have come through us. They were called for questioning and representatives of Max Corporate Service were questioned on our behalf. Nalwa Lab questioned by the SIT. The team did it. The police. He was questioned around 10:30 in the morning and ordered to produce several documents.”

Meanwhile, the operators of Delhi’s Lalchandani Lab have asked him to come to Haridwar on Monday.

In the fake testing case, investigation is also being done by the SIT team constituted through SSP. SSP Senthil Abudai Krishnaraj S says that since the case was registered in the fake testing case, the SIT was formed on our behalf and now the investigation is going on in this matter. We have issued notice to the concerned authorities in the fake testing case.
