The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially declared the final results for the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2023. Candidates who appeared for the examination can access their results by visiting the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.

The UPSC ESE written examination took place in June 2023, followed by the Personality Test interviews conducted from September to November 2023. Successful candidates who excelled in both phases are now recommended for appointment to various services and posts within the concerned Ministries and Departments.

How to check UPSC ESE Final Result 2023?

Here is a step-by-step process to follow for candidates who wish to check their UPSC ESE Final results:

Step 1: Begin by visiting the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.

Step 2: On the home page, locate and click on the prominently displayed link for ‘UPSC ESE Final Result 2023’.

Step 3: Upon clicking, a new PDF file will open, presenting the detailed results for candidates to review.

Step 4: To ensure easy retrieval, download the page, and consider keeping a hard copy for future reference.

UPSC ESE Final Result 2023: Details of selected candidates

A total of 401 candidates have been recommended for appointment across different engineering disciplines. The distribution is as follows:

– Civil Engineering: 178 candidates (including 7 PwBD-1 and 2 PwBD-3 candidates)

– Mechanical Engineering: 46 candidates (including 1 PwBD-1 and 1 PwBD-3 candidate)

– Electrical Engineering: 64 candidates (including 2 PwBD-1 candidates)

– Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering: 113 candidates (including 2 PwBD-2 candidates)

The UPSC’s official notification read, “Appointments shall be made strictly in accordance with the extant rules and the number of vacancies available. Allotment of candidates to various Services/Posts shall be made according to ranks obtained and preference of Services expressed by them.”

The UPSC ESE is a two-stage examination consisting of a preliminary examination and a main examination. The preliminary examination is a written examination consisting of two objective-type papers, each of 200 marks. The main examination is a written examination consisting of six objective-type papers, each of 300 marks.
