UPSC ESE 2024 Recruitment: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has begun the registration process for the Engineering Services (Preliminary) examination 2024. Interested and eligible candidates can apply on the official website at upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in. The deadline to apply for the exam is September 26 at 6 pm, after which the link will be disabled. Candidates can make changes to their applications from September 27 to October 3. The exam is scheduled for February 18, 2024, and the admit cards will be available three weeks before the exam date.

UPSC ESE 2024 Registration: Steps To Apply

To apply for UPSC ESE (Preliminary) 2024, follow these steps:

Step 1: Visit the official website at upsconline.nic.in.

Step 2: Click on the option for “One-time Registration” for UPSC exams.

Step 3: Choose “New Registration” and enter your name, date of birth, gender, mobile number, and other required details.

Step 4: After registering, log in using your credentials, which include your registered email ID and password.

Step 5: Verify the details you entered during registration.

Step 6: Select the exam you want to appear for, complete the necessary information, and upload the required documents.

Step 7: Save your application, submit it, and proceed to make the required payment of fees.

There are around 167 vacancies, including five reserved for persons with benchmark disabilities. The age criteria require candidates to be a minimum of 21 years old and a maximum of 30 years old, with age relaxation available for certain categories. The application fee is Rs 200, but it’s waived for female candidates, SC, ST, and PwD categories.

Candidates will be recruited for various posts/services in four categories:

  1. Civil Engineering (Category 1)

  2. Mechanical Engineering (Category 2)

  3. Electrical Engineering (Category 3)

  4. Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (Category 4).
