UPSC CSE 2024: Candidates who are interested in applying for the prelims exam can do so by visiting the official website at upsc.gov.in

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will close the Civil Service Examination (CSE) 2024 prelims exam registration process today, March 5. Candidates who are interested in applying for the exam can do so on the official website at upsc.gov.in. Candidates who have a cleared graduation from a recognised university or have an equivalent qualification are eligible to apply for the exam.

The UPSC prelims exam will be held on May 26. Those who clear the prelims exam will next have to appear for the mains exam which is scheduled to be conducted on October 19. Through the UPSC CSE 2024 recruitment drive, a total of 1056 vacancies will be filled.

UPSC CSE 2024 Prelims Exam: How to Apply?

Step 1. Visit the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.

Step 2. Look for the UPSC CSE 2024 notification link on the homepage.

Step 3. Click on the link. A PDF file containing the prelim exam notification will be displayed on the screen. On another, you will find the application page.

Step 4. Register yourself and fill out the form.

Step 5: Upload the required documents and pay the application fees.

Step 6: Download and save the page for further use.

UPSC CSE 2024: Application fee

To apply for the exam, candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 100. Women, SC, ST, and Persons with Benchmark Disability candidates are exempt from fees. The payment may be made either by remitting the money in any Branch of the State Bank of India by cash or by using the Net Banking facility of any bank or by using Visa/Master/RuPay/Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment.

Candidates who qualified for the prelims will next have to appear for the Civil Services (Main) Examination and will have to apply online again and submit online Detailed Application Form-I along with scanned documents/certificates in support of date of birth, category, and educational qualification with required examination fee, the official notification stated.
