The District Education Officer (DEO) has started an inquiry into the matter of Hindu students offering prayers in a school in Kutch district in Gujarat. The DEO has constituted a team to probe and said that action will be taken against the school if found guilty.

On June 28, a Bakrid celebration program was organized at Pearls School in Bhorara Seem area of ​​Mundra, Kutch. During this, some Hindu children were also seen offering Namaz. The school itself had uploaded the video on social media. However, it has now been deleted.

When Hindu organizations expressed their displeasure after the video surfaced, the principal of the school, Rashi Gautam, said that like every festival, this too was a part of the school’s activities.

I apologise, if anyone’s sentiments have been hurt because of me. It was not our intention to hurt anyone’s sentiments. In future, no such program will be celebrated in the school, which will hurt the sentiments of the people.

DDO ordered for investigation
After the whole matter came to light, DDO of Kutch district S.K. Prajapati has ordered an inquiry to the in-charge District Education Officer and District Primary Education Officer. A team of Taluka Education Officer has been sent for investigation, based on whose report action will be taken.
